Driving Traffic using Squidoo and Ping

Squidoo and Ping is a very useful technique to use to drive traffic to your website. So what exactly is it?

Let’s take each part of the equation and see what they mean.

Squidoo is a publishing platform which allows you to create web pages very easily and quickly. Squidoo call these webpages “lenses” and you should treat them like a free advert for your site. You can gather together as many different selling points for your site as you can and place them all on your lens. The Squidoo site allows you to build a website simply by clicking and dropping various modules – there is no need to learn coding or html. It’s also highly rated by Google and therefore you can also find that a popular lens also appears highly in the search engines.

So, ensure you pick a topic that relates to that of your website and then go build a lens. Include as much information as you can and provide value to visitors – links are easy to add to the lens and you can deep link to any part of your website. You can also add pictures with links embedded so that you can also drive traffic from them.

Now – here’s the really neat trick. Use our automatic pinging service to ping your lens. Make sure you add new content to your lens on a regular basis and then ping to ensure that the search engines know that the content has been added. Since it is so easy to add content to a lens – and we mean very easy – then you will find that you can add content often without much work. Set the automatic ping to ping regularly and that’s it – you will see an increase in traffic coming to your site from the lens.

An added bonus is that Squidoo will track visitors to your lens and also pay you based on the amount of visitors! This means that you can make the traffic count twice.

This is an easy to understand information. I never knew before how to use squidoo. Previously, I used Triond and Bukisa to drive traffic to my blog. I suppose they all can work in the same way. I learned the technique from other writers.

Thanks for these great tips. I have been using ping for my other article sites. Now I need to integrate my lens with the pings and watch the traffic flow.

Thank you. I used Squidoo in the past but it had slipped my memory. I know the pages can rank well too so I am off to create some new lenses for my current projects.

I really enjoyed the site and apparently the service. But how services can help my site?
