Why should I consider a premium account?

A premium account allows you to store a number of links (depending on the package you sign up to) in your account. These links will be automatically pinged every three days. You will be able to change your links in your account every 24 hours so effectively giving you more free pings every 24 hours. A premium account allows you to see a history of your pings, download PDF reports and you may upload a ping list in CSV format to save you the trouble of having to enter them manually.

Why is the number of pings limited for free accounts?

The free pings feature is for free members to become better acquainted with our service and try it before they subscribe. We had to introduce a limit as it was being flooded with too many ping requests and it's not fair on the paying members.

How do I cancel or delete my account?

Login to your account at www.pingler.com

The go to Manage Account -> Account Settings

Scroll to the bottom of the page and your will see Account Deletion

If you do not have a current subscription in place, you will be presented with the link to delete your account.

If you have a current subscription in place, you will be asked to cancel your subscription first and then to return to the page above to be able to delete your account.

Please note that deleted accounts are irrecoverable so please proceed with caution.

Is it possible to be over-pinging?

By default some platforms such as Wordpress include their own ping facility, where every post you make is automatically pinged to various resources.

We advise our members and customers to switch off the standard or default ping settings on Wordpress or other platforms when using our Pingler service. This also true when it comes to using other ping services at the same time as Pingler.com

We cannot comment on how the ping resources will react to 'over-pinging' but we strongly suggest that you refrain from pinging using other services along side to Pingler to avoid any detremental situation as a consequence. Besides, our premium members, enjoy an exclusive ping list that is far larger in size than other ping services.

Why does my account status show as 'Paused'

When you register with us, your account will show the status as 'paused' and that is for the premium services and features only. You can still ping up to five free pings a day but if you wish to use any of our premium features, you will need to subscribe to any of our packages and then your account will show 'Active' as opposed to 'Paused'

Wordpress offers a ping feature but our service is not limited to Wordpress sites but all websites, regardless of the platform.

Premium subscribers get pinged to a much larger rotating list of ping RPC servers - many that are unique to Pingler.com

We advise our customers to disable Wordpress ping feature when using our Pingler Plugin.

What is the API key used for?

Why do some ping services show 'failed' as a result?

On rare occasions, ping services may go offline for maintenance or because of technical issues. This is a non-localized issue to Pingler.com

The same ping services usually resume service as soon as they are updated, maintained or fixed and it usually occurs within hours. We advise that you try to ping your URL again at another time and if the problem persists, kindly do let us know.

You need to be subscribed to one of our premium packages to be able to add URLs to your account or to use any of our plugins or API or to be able to ping YouTube videos.

Free pinging is offered on our homepage and allows you to ping up to five different URLs to a standard set of ping resources.

The premium service is automated, meaning that you add your URLs and they are pinged automatically on your behalf every three days or even daily (depending on the level of your subscription) Premium customers benefit our premium list of ping resources which numbers in the thousands and which is rotated daily. We offer four levels of subscriptions: monthly, three months, six months and one year. Longer subscriptions offer bigger discounts.

Please be aware that you will be subscribing to a recurring subscription which will continue to automatically renew unless cancelled by yourself. You may upgrade at any time that suits you and our system will calculate the upgraded on a pro-rated basis and credit you towards the upgrade automatically. Our system calculates the remaining credit on a daily basis so for instance if you subscribed to a package today and used it for a couple of days and then decided to upgrade on the third day, our system will credit you for the remaining 28 days towards the package you are upgrading to. The credit applies regardless of the length of package that you may consider upgrading to.

Our captcha is served by a third party security website and occasionally it may fail - due to technical reasons beyond our control. The captcha should not be hard to read at all and if it is not comprehensible then there must be something wrong at source. We as you to kindly re-visit our website at another time and to try again. Usually these problems are cleared within a couple of hours.
