freely? \u00a0Blogging is the best way to connect to the masses and get yourself heard. \u00a0Many people have found their own personal success through starting blogs: just think Perez Hilton, Mashable and the Huffington Post. \u00a0These are all extremely successful blogs that have brought massive success to their initiators. \u00a0So where do you start? \u00a0Most people can find starting a blog pretty intimidating so we\u2019ve put together a few tips on getting started.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Template or Bespoke Design? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For a lot of people this is a no-brainer: either you use one of the many free programs available or you get your very own original design. \u00a0And unless you\u2019re a capable web designer, you\u2019ll probably need to pay for a quality site to be created from scratch. \u00a0Therefore most people go for the software option. \u00a0Nowadays, these are quite impressive and with a bit of time and dedication, you can create something that looks quite unique, despite being modelled on the same template as many others.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of tutorials available online across the web that will show you how to get started with the most famous free blogging programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finding your Niche <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Probably the most important decision is deciding what you\u2019re actually going to blog about. \u00a0It\u2019s crucial to be specific and ideally, you should nestle yourself into a niche if possible. \u00a0The wider topics have been done to death (although that\u2019s not to say you can\u2019t improve upon them) so try distilling your topic down to something specific.<\/p>\n<p>Try searching other blogs in your topic \u2013 if your niche is flooded, try again. \u00a0If you find a blog that steps on the toes of your ideas but it\u2019s been poorly written, go ahead and start your blog anyway \u2013 you\u2019ll probably end up pinching their readers! \u00a0If your niche is an abandoned town with tumbleweed blowing quietly through, hooray! \u00a0Get writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Choosing a Domain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most important thing about your domain is that it be easy to remember, so avoid complicated words or overly long domains. \u00a0You can go for something clever and memorable \u2013 a clever play on words for example. \u00a0But have you thought about how people are going to find your site through keyword searches? \u00a0It\u2019s usually best to keep keywords in mind and try to shape your domain name around the most popular ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t Start Until You\u2019re More than Ready <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s tempting to go in with all guns blazing once you\u2019ve designed your beautiful site but have you thought carefully about populating it? \u00a0It\u2019s a wise idea to have a few blog posts ready to go so that you can keep a steady supply of content flooding into your site from day one. \u00a0If you start attracting lots of traffic, you can step up the pace but a slow-burner won\u2019t be as attractive to new readers as a fast-paced, regularly updated blog.<\/p>\n<p><i><html><br \/>\n\t<head><br \/>\n\t\t<title><\/title><br
