On the Pingler site the ping frequency is limited from 3 to 10 days. In the .csv file I COULD set a ping frequency to 1 or 2 days... Will this ping frequency be accepted by the system?
Would it just default to 3 days? Would it cause and error and the complete file to corrupt?

It will just overide your lower frequency settings to the default '3 days' It will not corrup the file but we advise that you do not to set it lower than 3 anyway, there is no point since the system won't really accept it.
